The house sits on the edge of Romney Marsh which is a favourite spot for cyclists as the lanes are quiet and the countryside is mostly flat and you can even hire a tandem from the Owners for a fun day out. If you prefer a day at the seaside then head to nearby Hythe, a traditional seaside town with a lovely wide bay and esplanade to take a walk, some great restaurants and independent shops and cafes. There is even a miniature steam railway that takes you across Romney Marsh to the atmospheric lighthouse at Dungeness.
