The Neighborhood:
The area is located really close to the city center, a 5 minute metro ride, and is mainly a residential area with quite a few very famous architectural structures such as the 8 house and the VM houses. In this area you will find Amager Beach, where you can go swimming in the summer. Other well-known attractions are:
- National Aquarium Denmark: Northern Europe's largest aquarium is located on Amager. Here, you can visit fascinating hammerhead sharks, elegant rays and colourful coral fish for a day of unique experiences perfect for explorers of all ages.
- Halvandet: Halvandet is a beach bar close to Copenhagen city centre with beach furniture and stunning cityscape views.
