Modernized mid-century home that is a perfect secluded getaway just 2 hours from NYC. Located in Sharon, CT in Litchfield Country, this stunning property sits on 4 private acres. The well maintained grounds include a heated salt-water pool surrounded in blue stone with the highest rated safety cover, a wrap around deck with and a fully fenced yard. A perfect place to relax or have a family gathering at the foothill of the Berkshires.
The main level of the house has a double height ceiling entry way with a powder room, a large living room with wood burning fireplace, 1 bedroom (with two stacked twin beds that can be used individually or placed together for 1 king bed), a dining room, music/sitting room, a brand new chef's kitchen, den/sun room and laundry room.
The upstairs of the house has three additional bedrooms including a primary bedroom with a king sized bed, a private terrace for morning coffee and beautifully renovated ensuite spa-like bathroom.
The guest room has a queen size bed and a crib, and the third/children's bedroom has two full size beds. There is a second fully renovated bathroom as well.
Truly made for indoor/outdoor living and entertaining, there are several furnished areas on the wraparound deck including a covered seating section, a dining area, ping pong table, lounge chairs and an outdoor kitchen with both gas grill and a green-egg BBQ. Indoor and outdoor sound systems round out this well pointed home.
The area has incredible hiking, beautiful lakes and farms, and many great surrounding towns.
The connected garage and basements are off limits to guests. But guests may use the main entrance with keyless entry and all doors leading to the deck.
The swimming pool is heated and open from Memorial Day to Labor Day and is equipped with the highest safety rating automatic pool cover. Children must be accompanied by an adult whenever in the pool and when the pool is not in-use, the safety cover must be closed. Guests may enjoy the deck and the chairs and the pool toys but are not allowed to use or operate any pool equipment including the heater. Requests can be made ahead of time for the heat to be turned on and a caretaker will assist.
The wooded areas of the property are advised to stay out of, as the area ticks are prevalent. While we treat the yard and the area close to the house for ticks, we recommend checking for ticks after extended periods outside as a safety precaution. There is bug spray available onsite.
