Summary: My husband and I were caught by surprise that this cabin is not actually waterfront. It is on a backlot. Your main few is that of two, two story houses directly in front of you. This is your main view. You do have partial views overlooking the lake - one from the deck overlooking a lovely yard (the neighbor's that is), and the other from the enclosed porch overlooking the other neighbor's 3 car parking lot. The comings and goings by all the neighbors, the bonfires, music, landscaping, all of which are part of your view, did not make for a quiet or relaxing vacation. We see now that we missed seeing a note under the "amenities" section on the VRBO listing that states that the property is "a bit off the water". This should have been stated in the main description. The pictures and the description are quite misleading. You do have the use of a small lot (about 40ft) that includes a deck and boat ramp, but as was the situation in general, there is little, if any privacy. You may also want to pay close attention to the pictures of the bedrooms. They are very small, with low (maybe 7ft?) ceilings and have little storage space. Thankfully, the lake itself was wonderful. The water was deep, clear and surprisingly calm. The cabin is shaded most of the day and the enclosed porches' windows allowed for cool breezes most of the day. The kitchen was nice and roomy. Hopefully this review will help others make a more informed decision on whether to stay at this property.
