Nestled into the island of Islesboro, this year round home has five bedrooms and two and half baths --perfect for a family or friends getaway. Islesboro is an island oasis in the middle of the Penobscot Bay--go on bike rides or long walks, picnic at beaches and admire the surrounding islands.
This house was renovated in 2013 and sleeps ten adults. The downstairs has a great floor plan for entertaining. The updated kitchen with a butcher block island is open to the dining room and flows into the living room with the wood stove. Off the mudroom is the formal living room with a beautiful fireplace and built-ins. Downstairs there are 2 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. The upstairs has three bedrooms and one bathroom. All bathrooms have been updated. The house also has a beautiful outdoor shower.
Sit on the back stoop for your morning coffee and watch the sun streak through the mossy trees. The backyard is also a beautiful place for sunbathing or eating lunch/ dinner outside.
The house is a 20 minute walk (1.2 miles) to Pendleton Point Beach on the southern tip of the island -- a nice spot for a barbecue or family adventures. Same distance to the Dark Harbor Shop for great ice cream, frappes, and sandwiches.
