The house is fully equipped with high speed wifi, washer and dryer, and a modern kitchen with dishwasher and propane stove & oven. There's a lovely living room with a Roku equipped TV and a dining area that easily sits 6 with additional counter seating. Enjoy coffee and the sunrise over the water on the back porch, right off the kitchen.
The lower level is a walkout level; this recreational space has an additional Roku equipped TV and comfy sofa and chair. Walk into the hangout space which has a ping pong table and space for board games or cards. There's also a desk set up for those that need to work remotely. You'll also find the laundry room and half bath down here.
Outside has a peaceful front porch where you can watch the sunset, a large front yard, a back porch with a grill and seating, and a lower level firepit with chairs. BYO wood! We also have a 7 person saltwater hot tub; have a soak while enjoying the water views. You can see the wonderful wildlife right out the front door - wild turkeys, osprey, eagles, deer and more!
You can make your way down to the best part of the property, the deep water dock. With seating at the dock and access to two kayaks and a Stand Up Paddle-board, relaxing and playing is right at your fingertips.
The sleeping arrangements are as follows: 4 separate bedrooms with three queens upstairs and one queen bedroom downstairs.
The kitchen will be fully stocked so you can cook all your own meals, and includes pots, pans, knives, utensils, dishes, toaster, Keurig, and a coffee maker.
The house is only 6 minutes to the grocery store, 9 minutes to downtown Wiscasset, 15 minutes to downtown Bath and 20 minutes to Brunswick & Damariscotta. It's a great landing spot to explore the Midcoast and surrounding area. You're only 50 minutes from Portland and a 2.5 hour drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor! There are so many lovely spots to explore. This winter you can experience Gardens Aglow at the Costal Maine Botanical gardens - only 25 minutes away. The magic begins as darkness falls! Explore their central garden areas, turned into a festively lit wonderland with more than half a million lights. The event runs from Nov. 18-Dec. 31, Thursday-Sunday, plus select dates.
The walk to our dock is a bit steep but manageable. Our property has a window AC unit in the living room but none in the bedrooms. We also have a small historical cemetery that is on the property. The house is on an island so the power can go out out if there is bad weather or wind. We have a whole house auto-generator in those instances!
