WINiT Helps Travel Industry Professional Advance Her Career
The WINiT Mentor Program is a self-service program for Mentors and Mentees across all categories and locations in the travel, meeting, event and exhibition industries and is open to women and men. Both Mentors and Mentees can ‘hand pick’ their selection based on a quick match questionnaire.
One of my greatest life lessons came from a mentor of mine, Sophia Brooks. She told me: ‘Carmen, on your way up, remember to take someone else with you.’ I never forgot that lesson and always try to help someone else along in their journey as someone helped me. WINiT’s platform reminds me of that same lesson, women helping women to be empowered and succeed.
WINiT and its leadership passionately believe that empowering the individual strengthens the company, thus improving the industry.

By supporting WINiT, we are supporting the development of important goals which will have positive social and global business impact for future generations

It may take a village to raise a child, but it takes a special kind of person to develop a travel industry professional. I am fortunate enough to call Nancy Medoff my “special person” and WINiT Mentor. Over the past few months, she has become my cheerleader, development coach and a much-needed sounding board, all wrapped up into one dynamic package. Her real-world advice, thoughtful guidance and shoot-from-the-hip style leave me energized and ready to tackle the next challenge (whether big or small) and her ability to teach by sharing past experiences is a rare talent. I am so fortunate to have met Nancy through this program and hope to maintain our connection long after its conclusion. If anyone out there is still on the fence about joining WINiT’s Mentor Program, I have two words for you – do it!
